ENGL worked with Steve for over a year to get his dream amp ready, and the resulting E656 head delivers the sounds that blow away the expectations of even the most discerning professional player. The EQ section is unique, featuring four (yes, four!) controls so that the mid-range — so important in a full band context — can be shaped in the best possible way. With two switchable master volume levels, two effects loops, a noise gate and onboard MIDI, nothing can stand in your way. Whether it’s crisp rock riffs or a variety of sounds in complex solo lines, the E656 has been an integral part of Steve Morse’s rig for many years.
