Highly influential guitarist Steffen Kummerer of technical death metal giants Obscura has made his mark on the metal scene by combining smooth technique and meticulous picking at relentless speeds. Since 2002, his rhythmic and harmonic style became central to Obscura’s sound in studio productions, live tours, and beyond. Accommodated with ENGL Amps, Steffen’s guitar tone immediately became a signature and trademark of his playing and the sound of Obscura alike.

ENGL’s collaboration with this renowned artist continues in the form of a limited edition ENGL E610 Obscura Signature 120 amplifier.

What makes this limited edition head stands out are sheer endless versatile styles, delivering warm and articulate clean sounds; massive, tight and articulated rhythm/crunch tones; and rich and dynamic high gain leads. The road-proven design carries and shelters 6x Engl ECC83 / 12AX7 tubes within the preamp section, and 2x Engl KT88 tubes as part of the power amp compartment, to maintain a perfect tone anywhere in the world.

The E610 features a built-in noise gate, wide-ranging EQ adjustments for each channel, several sound switching options, two tube-driven FX loops with separate balance controls, S.A.C. control port, MIDI Channel Assignment, and an ENGL tube monitor. The built-in MIDI foot controller phantom power switch reduces cables onstage and in studio, while the full tube design and selected outputs leave unlimited options to vary your tone live and within a studio environment.
